President Obama Expands Provisional Waiver For Spouses & Children of U.S. Citizen To Include Green Card Holders

president_obama_expandsAs part of the new immigration benefit package announced by the President on November 20, 2014 and the Executive Order signed by the President on November 21, 2014, the Provisional Waiver Program announced on March 4, 2013 has been expanded. 

As a result of the announcement, many more immigrants will now be eligible to obtain provisional waiver of their ground of inadmissibility so that they will be able to travel abroad to obtain their green cards through interviews conducted at the U.S. Consulate abroad.

President Obama To Grant Parole-In-Place To Enable Some EWIs To Obtain Green Cards In The U.S.


presidnet_obama_grantsOn November 20, 2014, the President announced the expansion of the use of the Parole-in-Place program to now include family members of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who seek to enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Prior to the issuance of the latest Executive Order by the President, Parole-in-Place was sparingly used for family member of those in the U.S. Armed Forces and those discharged honorably. With this announcement by the President, many more immigrants who were not able to obtain their green cards in the U.S. because they entered the country without inspection will now be eligible.

Attorney Famuyide Wins Waiver of Fraud Allegation To Obtain Green Card for Immigrant

attorneywinsfraudIt was another victory for the Law Office of Attorney Famuyide as the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services approves another application for waiver of fraud allegation and cleared the way for the issuance of permanent resident status to an immigrant who has spent over 20 years in the United States in illegal status.

In pursuit of this victory, Attorney Famuyide put together 500 page brief and supporting documents to convince the Immigration Service Officer who reviewed the matter of the need to approve the case.

The approval of the waiver and the issuance of the permanent resident card ended the jubilating immigrant’s fear of deportation and the inability to travel for over 20years. It was a happy conclusion to a matter brought to Attorney Famuyide after the initial denial based on the allegation of fraud on the ground that the immigrant was inadmissible pursuant to law.

Breaking News!! President Obama Grants Some Haitians Family Reunification Parole

hatianreunificationIn a bid to woo a segment of the black voters about three weeks to the 2014 Midterm election, President Obama announced that in an unspecified date early 2015, his administration will begin to implement the Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program. This will allow some Haitians that are currently waiting abroad to receive current priority dates to enter the United States on parole.

This much anticipated announcement was made almost 5years to the earthquake that paralyzed Haiti in January 2010 leaving millions living in tents and abject poverty until now. While this announcement is a welcome development, weeks before the election, it might not be enough to save the Democrats from the looming defeat this midterm election.

Attorney Famuyide Wins Green Cards For Family of Three After Previous Denial

attorneywinsIt came to this immigrant and his two sons as a surprise, but it was a pleasant surprise. Their cases were in the process of heading to the immigration court for removal proceedings. The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services gave them notices that they will receive court appearance notices in the mail, they retained Attorney Famuyide and the table turned. Instead of notices to appear in court, they all received their 10 years green cards.

It was an unprecedented victory for the Law Office of Joseph Famuyide. Yes, with proper representation and adequate documentation, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service can change its mind. This is what happened in this case and these immigrants are full of joy.
